Audi 200 5T

The Audi 200 5T was one of Audi’s most important early performance saloons. It took the large Audi 100 platform and added a turbocharged five-cylinder engine, giving it much stronger performance while keeping the restrained appearance of a luxury executive car. Today, surviving examples are far less common than later Audi performance models.

We are interested specifically in the Audi 200 5T, from well preserved original cars to long stored examples, non running projects and barn finds. Original trim, correct mechanical parts and service history are all useful when they are present, but they are not essential. If you have one, photographs of the body, interior, engine bay and underside are especially helpful.

Condition does not need to be perfect. We will consider cars with faded paint, worn upholstery, corrosion, mechanical faults or missing parts. Cars that have not run for years can still interest us. Even incomplete restoration projects are worth showing us if enough of the original car remains.

When assessing an Audi 200 5T, we look at the sills, wheelarches and lower body sections, along with the turbo system, cooling system and engine bay. Complete interior trim, switchgear and period wheels are useful, but their absence will not automatically rule a car out.

Service history, invoices and old MOT records are welcome if available. If there is little or no paperwork, that is still fine. Tell us what you know about the car, including any previous engine, turbo, suspension or restoration work.

If you are thinking about selling your Audi 200 5T, send us clear photographs and some basic information about the car. We reply personally and give you a straightforward answer, with no obligation either way.
